Help Tech CU Support PVI's Tech Connect Initiative for Seniors

As people age, many find themselves navigating life's hurdles alone. That's where Tech CU steps in to proudly support Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI), an organization dedicated to empowering older adults to maintain their independence and remain engaged within their communities.

Tech CU consistently contributes to PVI's "Tech Connect" initiative, supplying seniors with iPads and essential training to keep them digitally connected. Our goal is to eliminate their fear of technology, increase confidence, teach new skills, and above all, have fun!

Since the inception of PVI's Tech Connect program in September 2021, 68 seniors have received iPads and completed the 8-week training, gaining confidence in technology, acquiring new skills, and fostering new friendships. Each class accommodates 5-7 students, volunteers, and a dedicated instructor, and covers basics such as Zoom usage, photography, email management, safe internet browsing, and more.

Beyond Tech Connect, PVI offers an array of enriching activities and essential services, including social gatherings, meal delivery, transportation assistance, wellness programs, affordable housing, and more.
