Tech CU Supports Cancer Patients

4-Cancer Carepoint-Blog-Newsletter_350x270-02_jpg

Cancer CAREpoint is hosting their annual Garden Party on August 27th at the beautiful gardens of Nestldown. This enchanting venue, graciously donated by Barbara & Mark Beck, is the perfect backdrop for a summer afternoon celebration with a community dedicated to Transforming Care Together. The sell-out event raises critical funds to provide CARE services to anyone affected by cancer in the Bay Area. Limited tickets are available through sponsorship opportunities.

Guests will enjoy beautiful views, passed appetizers, and gourmet dinner catered by La Papillon. The sponsor reception at 3:00 p.m. features guest speaker Joe Simitian, Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. The party begins for all guests at 4:00 pm with cocktails and the opportunity to bid on a fine selection of silent auction items. The dinner program will include a live auction and a moving account for a Cancer CAREpoint client on the value of “Time”.

The event will raise critical funds to support Cancer CAREpoint’s programs and services. Last year’s event raised more than one million dollars to support cancer patients in need.

You can purchase sponsorships at https://www.cancercarepoint.org/gardenparty/.

Its services include individual and group counseling, nutrition workshops, low-mobility exercise classes, guided imagery instruction, and a Wig and Head Covering Boutique.

Cancer CAREpoint serves approximately 1,500 clients per year and has helped more than 10,000 people to date. Additionally, 95% of clients report a higher quality of life after engaging with Cancer CAREpoint programs and services.
