Giving Back This Holiday Season With Family Giving Tree

The holiday season has arrived and the Family Giving Tree 2023 Holiday Wish Drive has officially begun. The goal is simple yet profound: to deliver joy to Bay Area children, adults, and seniors by fulfilling their wished-for gifts during the holiday season, lifting the spirits of so many in our community, and allowing families to cherish and enjoy this special time together.

Despite the immense wealth in Silicon Valley, it has one of the highest poverty rates in the nation, affecting nearly 3.5 million residents who call the Bay Area home. This means that, for many Silicon Valley children, adults, and seniors, holiday gifts are not guaranteed. Join us in helping make wishes come true for our community members this holiday season. Consider donating to this fantastic organization that we have been partnering closely with for what will now be our 17th year.

For 34 years, the Family Giving Tree has been steadfastly committed to serving those most in need. In 2022, despite the pandemic, and with the help of more than 464 Bay Area nonprofit agencies and schools, 3,969 volunteers, and 1,000+ individuals, groups, and businesses that helped lead drives—Family Giving Tree fulfilled nearly 56,000 holiday wishes for those most in need. Tech CU is proud to have played a small part in that number, fulfilling the wishes of Bay Area children, adults, and seniors who may have otherwise gone without any gift at all last holiday season.

Family Giving Tree has served over two million children and individuals throughout the greater Bay Area, actively endeavors to inspire the values of kindness, philanthropy, and volunteerism in the community, and has grown to become the largest holiday gift and backpack donation program in California.
