Tech CU Supports the Arts Through SV Creates
SVCreates (SVC) builds the creative sector's capacity, raises the creative sector's voice and visibility, and increases access to arts and creativity for high-need communities.
SVC does this in several ways, including:
- Providing local grants, workshops, roundtables, and management tools
- Conducting research studies of relevance to civic and arts leaders, like the Business of Arts and Culture
- Connecting teachers to arts education offerings through ArtsEdConnect
- Infusing arts and creativity into the Women and Children's Center at VMC
- Funding Art Access grants to serve high-need communities
Specifically, South Bay artists and cultural leaders have a platform for their work and stories to be discovered and displayed through Content Magazine's Quarterly print magazine, blog, social media platform, podcast, and videos.
In addition, with each issue's release, Content brings the contributors, featured, and members together to connect and celebrate.
