Get Your Running Shoes On! The Silicon Valley Turkey Trot Takes Place on November 24!

Put on your running shoes and mark your calendars for Silicon Valley’s largest Thanksgiving tradition! Tech CU is sponsoring the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 24.

This family-focused event welcomes participants of all fitness levels and offers 5K and 10K runs/walks, along with a Kids Fun Run and a costume contest. Elite runners, joggers, and walkers will enjoy the downtown San Jose course, which is flat, fast, and flows through local neighborhoods and business areas.

Race registrations support local charities Opens a new window including:

  • Second Harvest Silicon Valley
  • The Health Trust
  • Healthier Kids Foundation
  • Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County

Registrants will also receive the Turkey Trot’s iconic long-sleeve race shirt, race bib, and a super fun day of giving back! Since the race was founded 17 years ago, more than $10.5 million and 200,000 pounds of food have been donated/collected.

Race Day Timeline:

  • 7 am: Race Day Packet Pick Up Opens
  • 8:30 am: 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run Start
  • 10:30 am: Kids Fun Run (ages 2-7)
