Cancer CAREpoint

Tech CU is a proud supporter of Cancer CAREpoint, an organization dedicated to transforming support for cancer patients and survivors, their families, and caregivers in Silicon Valley through personalized, one-on-one Counseling, Assistance, Resources, and Education.

Cancer doesn’t stop for COVID-19. Around 10,000 people in Silicon Valley are diagnosed with cancer each year, and thousands more are living as cancer survivors. Because of this, there will always be individuals and families who need emotional, practical, and psychological support to get through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives. In 2020 and throughout this year, Cancer CAREpoint has successfully delivered the vast majority of its programs and services virtually. Cancer CAREpoint is dedicated to ensuring that no one should have to face cancer alone.

Over the past several years, Tech CU’s support enabled Cancer CAREpoint to refurbish its multi-purpose room and complete its lobby. When Cancer CAREpoint is able to re-open its center to clients and in-person services, patients can exercise in an environment that is clean, hypoallergenic, and beautiful! Additionally, the organization was able to purchase grocery gift cards for patients to purchase healthy foods during treatment, allowing Cancer CAREpoint to focus on its mission of helping patients and families dealing with cancer.

Tech CU knows that cancer can be one of the hardest things a person ever has to deal with, and many lack the support and resources they need. That is why we look forward to supporting Cancer CAREpoint’s mission now and in the future. Since it was founded in 2011, Cancer CAREpoint has helped 6,808 patients* and provided 50,316* cumulative hours of service to cancer patients, family members, and caregivers.
