Some ways you can use Amazon Prime to save money

If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, you probably know all about how studies have shown Amazon shoppers with Prime spend more than Amazon shoppers without it. And while facts are facts, did you know that there are some sneaky ways to save using Prime, too? Here are some of the best ways to make sure you’re getting the most value out of the service.

  • Sample Some. Amazon has a section dedicated to samples of a variety of products, from pet food to shampoo. These items are only available to Prime subscribers for a few dollars each. Also, when you buy sample sizes, you receive a credit toward the future purchase of those goods. That means if you like the product and decide to buy again, the sample is essentially free.
  • Find The Right Fit. Along the same lines as Prime samples, Prime Wardrobe allows you to pick up to eight clothing items and try them for seven days for free. You only pay for what you keep and returns are free. This is nice, as a refund for ill-fitting clothing purchased online can sometimes take more than a week.
  • Read Up. Prime subscribers who love a good book should take advantage of Prime Reading, which has thousands of titles and magazines available for free. Before buying that next page turner, see if it’s available on the service.
  • Share It. As Us News Opens a new windowreports, if you and your loved one are set to move in together, it’s time to combine your Prime membership. Amazon allows two adults to share one Prime account, which will save you plenty.
  • Save The Memories. Are you constantly snapping pics but worried your phone will run out of memory? Have no fear, because Amazon Prime members can save an unlimited amount of photos. Don’t pay for a cloud storage service or even a separate hard drive for your pics. Prime has you covered.
