With summer nearly here, many of us start thinking about time away from the office or from our daily routine — perhaps an upcoming vacation or even a “staycation.” As much as I enjoy what I do each and every day at Tech CU, I too relish the idea of winding down and taking a break. I firmly believe that everyone needs to recharge their batteries once in a while — be it a hike in the mountains, a trip to the beach, or a day spent reading in bed. The idea of coming back to work or “scheduled” life refreshed and with a clear mind can only help to make you more productive and energized. And, if you can, try to make it a “digital detox.” I know it’s hard to unplug, but what a pleasure to have a few days or even a day completely unburdened by a ring, beep or ping.
So, take some time out this summer — with friends, family or on your own — you deserve it.
