It’s amazing how quickly the fall goes by. One minute we’re facing a heat wave and the next, we’ve got our winter coats on. With November coming to a close, I hope you’ve all signed up for the Turkey Trot — one of my favorite holiday events! Tech CU will have a team of employees, family members and friends out to run and support our local food banks, children’s health and affordable housing. Getting out in the brisk air before the big meal begins is a truly meaningful way to think about and help those who are not as fortunate as we are.
In addition, coming quickly down the pike is our Family Giving Tree holiday drive. Tech CU’s goal this holiday season is to help over 250 children and families have a happy and healthy holiday. There will be trees at each branch from mid-November thru mid-December. You can participate by choosing a name off of a tree and purchasing a gift, or by going to this link. We appreciate anything you can do to help these families have something to celebrate this holiday season.
Finally, as we approach the end of the year, our thoughts tend to turn to friends, family and spending time with loved ones. As a company, I know that we strive each and every day to create a feeling of community at Tech CU — both in our work environment and for our members. We wish you a safe holiday and, at this time of “thanks,” we want you to know how much we appreciate your being a member of Tech CU.
