A few words from Barbara Kamm, CEO — July 2014
Our financial centers play a key role in providing you the kind of personalized service you expect from Tech CU. I’d like to share with you some exciting changes coming to our branches during the next few months — as we work to ensure they are best located and structured to serve you.
Over the years, we’ve received member feedback that our Mountain View Financial Center is difficult to find and not ideally suited for conducting personal banking business.
We’ve successfully exited our lease and, beginning on September 2, our Mountain View members will have a new home at our Sunnyvale Financial Center located at 1230 Oakmead Parkway, less than 4 miles away. The ATM at our Mountain View branch will remain open until November 30.
You’re invited to a “Welcome Week” celebration at our Sunnyvale Financial Center from September 2 through September 5 during business hours. You’ll see familiar faces from the Mountain View team, meet the Sunnyvale team and connect with fellow members. We look forward to serving you in Sunnyvale.
On a related note, we’ve been looking quite a while for the right location for a San Francisco Financial Center. We know that many of you live, work or spend time in the City — and we want to provide you the convenience of having a branch nearby. We’ve found a great space on Mission and 9th — conveniently located in the mid-Market area and close to such tech giants as Twitter and Square. We begin construction in September, with an opening planned for February 2015.
In addition, if you visit our San Jose Financial Center this fall, you’ll notice that it’s being updated with an improved layout and upgraded technology — all geared towards improving your experience. It will remain open as usual while these upgrades are made.
Finally, we are in the process of replacing the outside signage on our headquarters to reflect our revised logo. Soon, you’ll see this new signage burning brightly — day and night — as always. I welcome this growth and change and look forward to sharing it with you.
