See below for details on the information you will be required to provide to set up a wire transfer.
To RECEIVE funds to your Tech CU account from another financial institution within the U.S. you will need to supply the initiating institution with the following information:
- Technology Credit Union's Address: PO Box 1409 San Jose, CA 95109
- Technology Credit Union's Transit Routing Number (ABA #): 121181976
- Your account/member number (please see format below for proper 13-digit number format)
The easiest way to complete a Wire Transfer is by entering any TechCU branch and speaking with a representative.
If you are unable to enter a Tech CU branch you can submit a Wire Transfer request through Online Banking.
Simply log into your
Online Banking
account, select “Transfers” in the menu, and then click the “Wire Transfer” link. To complete the transaction, you will need to supply TechCU with the following information:
- The Name of the Receiving Institution (aka the Receiving Bank)
- The Routing Number of the Receiving Institution (aka Wire Routing Number or ABA Number)
- The Address of the Receiving Institution
- The Name of the Beneficiary (aka the Account Holder within Receiving Bank)
- The Account Number of the Beneficiary (aka the Account Holder within Receiving Bank)
- Any Additional Information needed to successfully complete the transaction (Beneficiary address, Reference numbers, escrow numbers, further credit to, etc.)
For verification, wires processed through online banking may require a follow up call from a wire specialist for confirmation of all information. Your wire request may require you to print and provide a physical signature (not an electronic signature) on the form with a copy of your driver’s license. Requests received by 1:30 PM Pacific Time Monday - Friday will be processed the same day, provided we are able to secure the above information from you and subject to the wire transfer terms and conditions. Requests received after 1:30 PM will be processed the next business day.
A domestic wire fee of $15.00 may be charged; please refer to the current Schedule of Fees and Charges. Please note: The receiving institution may charge a wire/transfer fee.
To RECEIVE funds into your Tech CU account from another financial institution outside the U.S., you will need to supply the initiating financial institution with the following information:
- Beneficiary Name (your name)
- Beneficiary Account Number (your Tech CU account number)
- Tech CU’s SWIFT BIC Code : TECHUS6S
- Beneficiary Bank Name: Technology Credit Union, San Jose, CA US
- Beneficiary Bank Address: 2010 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95131
Note: This SWIFT BIC code was re-activated February 2, 2019. Not all international financial institutions have updated their database with the most recent SWIFT directory, however Tech CU is live with SWIFT as of this date.

- The Account Number of the Beneficiary (aka the Account Holder within Receiving Bank)
- Any Additional Information or Additional Codes needed to successfully complete the transaction (IBAN/IFSC code, Beneficiary address, Reference numbers, etc.)

To set up new electronic transfers (including direct deposit) either to or from your Tech CU checking or savings account, you'll need the following:
- Technology Credit Union's Routing Number (ABA #): 121181976
- 13-digit account number comprised of your account code, account ID and member number formatted as follows:
- First Digit: Account Code: 1 for share accounts, 2 for loans
- Next 2 digits: Account ID
- Last 10 digits: Membership number preceded by zeros
We’ve made it easier for you to view your 13-digit checking, savings or money market account number using Online Banking.
- Sign in to Online Banking.
- Click checking, savings or money market account to display “Transactional History”
- Click “Show Account Details” (located under your balance in the upper right corner) and both your routing number and account number will appear.
