The text asks you to call (669) 272-4314. When you call the number, a recorded message says, "Thank you for calling Technology Credit Union. For security reasons, we need to verify your account. All direct deposits have been disabled until verification has been complete. Please enter your 16 digit card #.”

Please know that we did not send this text message and Tech CU was not compromised. We ask that you not respond to this fraudulent text message or call the number. If you did provide your card information, please contact us immediately at (800) 553-0880 or visit one of our branches to block your card and request a new one.

PLEASE NOTE: Tech CU will only ask you to verify your identity via phone when it is necessary for fraud prevention in the case of suspicious transactions. In this case, you may be asked to provide your member number, your debit or credit card number, and your social security number. However, you will never be asked to verify a one-time password. In addition, do not ever provide your passwords to anyone via email or over the phone. Any valid institution will not ask for this type of information.
