Volunteerism is a key component of life at Tech CU. We stand apart from other organizations in that, not only do we welcome our employees to invite their friends and families to participate, but we also open all volunteer opportunities to our 72,000 members and their families.
We have donated over 2,400 hours of service to the community since 2007. We supported organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Resource Area for Teachers and Family Giving Tree. We also gave our time in the classroom with Silicon Valley Education Foundation, Reading Partners, GLOW Foundation, Breakthrough Silicon Valley, and San Jose College Day.
Over 20% of our employees volunteer in our community. Nearly 10% of them serve on nonprofit boards or committees and the numbers keep on growing.
Tech CU is proud to partner with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the City of San Jose to support 1,000 Hearts for 1,000 Minds.Volunteer one hour per week to help a student in the Silicon Valley improve in reading, math and science. Please visit 1,000 Hearts for 1,000 Minds to sign up.
