Tech CU’s Fawzia Sarwar-Shayek Wins Silicon
Valley Business Journal Women of Influence Award
Company Wins Four Hermes Creative Awards and
Two Bronze Stevie Awards
San Jose, Calif. – May 17, 2018 – Tech
CU (Technology Credit Union) today announced that its senior
vice president of retail banking, Fawzia Sarwar-Shayek, has won the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women
of Influence award. Tech CU al
so won four Hermes Creative Awards, including
gold for Card Manager and its radio ads, platinum for its TV ads and an
honorable mention for its annual report. Lastly, Tech CU won two bronze Stevie
Awards for its annual report and Card Manager product.

The Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence
award program shines a spotlight on local businesswomen, community leaders and
philanthropists.
“Fawzia
has always been ahead of the curve, which in turn has helped Tech CU stay on
the cutting edge when it comes to retail banking,” said Todd Harris, CEO of
Tech CU. “She has helped modernize our branch layouts. Additionally, she has
been key to our sales and service training, and has re-organized our branch
network to be more efficient and provide better service. This award is truly

Hermes
Creative Awards
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition
(administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals)
for those involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and
communication programs. Tech CU won gold both for its newest radio ads and for
Card Manager, an intuitive mobile app that allows Tech CU credit and debit card
holders control over their card usage. Tech CU also won platinum for its TV ads
and received an honorable mention for its 2016 annual report titled, Evolution.
The Stevie Awards
The
Stevie Awards are the world's premier business awards. They were created in
2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive
contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. This year,
Tech CU was honored with two bronze awards for its Card Manager product and
2016 annual report.
