Rekindle Your Youth with Happy Hollow’s Senior Safari!

Are you ready to rediscover the joy of being a kid, again? Look no further than Senior Safari at Happy Hollow– an exclusive event tailored for those young at heart! Presented by Kaiser Permanente and sponsored by Tech CU, Senior Safari aims to provide older adults aged 50 and above with an opportunity to relive the magic of the zoo while promoting health, socialization, and community engagement.

Senior Safari is a joint program of Happy Hollow Park & Zoo and Happy Hollow Foundation. For a decade now, this program has been a beloved fixture in San José's cultural landscape. This unique event allows seniors to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, set against the backdrop of lush greenery and vibrant animal habitats.

So, what can you expect from this year's Senior Safari? Here's a glimpse:

• Early entry into the park and zoo: The park will open to attendees one hour earlier than to the general public.
• Animal meet-and-greets: Mingle with some furry and feathered friends during special meet-and-greet sessions.
• Zookeeper chats: Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the zoo? Curious about the daily routines and habits of your favorite animals? Happy Hollow’s dedicated zookeepers will share their knowledge and insights, providing valuable perspectives on wildlife conservation and animal care.
• The 10,000-step challenge and other free activities: Stay active and energized with Happy Hollow’s 10,000-step challenge, designed to promote physical fitness and overall well-being. Plus, enjoy a variety of free activities, all in the beautiful surroundings of Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.
• Healthy breakfasts (available for purchase)

Senior Safari admission and parking are free, and guests are welcome to stay for the day after the gates open to the general public. Guests who enter before 10 a.m. may stay the entire day for free!
