Join Tech CU at the San Jose Museum of Art’s First Fridays

As a believer in the transformative power of art and the importance of STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), Tech CU is a proud supporter of the San José Museum of Art (SJMA), a contemporary art institution that shares our commitment to new thinking and visionary ideas.

Like Tech CU, SJMA believes art should be accessible to everyone. With its monthly First Friday program, the Museum makes its galleries free and open to all from 6 to 9 pm. Visitors can explore engaging performances and innovative exhibitions while enjoying late-night bites and drinks in a lounge-like atmosphere. SJMA’s First Fridays offer a unique and vibrant experience, providing an open space where art enthusiasts and the culturally curious of all ages can come together to experience the vibrancy of our community.

Founded in 1969 in the heart of Downtown San Jose, the San José Museum of Art has been a focal point for artistic expression and cultural exploration. Boasting a diverse collection of over 2,700 works, the institution covers a wide range of timely and relevant topics, from discussions on migration and identity to explorations of artificial intelligence. The museum serves as a platform for both nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, including Yolanda López, Rina Banerjee, and Dinh Q. Lê, as well as emerging practitioners like Kelly Akashi, Woody De Othello, and Sonya Rapoport.
