    More than 60 years ago, a small group of employees at Fairchild Semiconductor believed there had to be a better way to manage their money. Fast-forward to the present day, and what began as a small group of depositors has blossomed into a credit union with 10 branch locations in the Bay Area, an easily accessible Virtual Branch, $4 billion in assets, and a national footprint.

    Tech CU now employs nearly 300 people and serves 155,000 members – unique individuals with varying financial needs and objectives. Naturally, we offer banking products such as savings and loans, but over the years and in response to member needs, we’ve added a variety of specialized products not typically offered by credit unions including private banking, solar loans, small business banking, commercial banking, and much more.

    Additionally, our family of brands offers further specialized services: Tech Financial Management provides professional brokerage advice, inclusive of an advisor-assisted digital investment solution. And, Tech Capital provides asset-based lending.

    Amid these changes, we’ve remained driven by our unwavering commitment to the exceptional customer service our members have come to expect. We care. We listen. We go the extra mile. In doing so, we seek to make it easy for our members to manage and plan their financial wellbeing all under one roof.

    A New Look for a Trusted Credit Union

    As we’ve grown beyond a typical financial institution into an organization created by and for our members, we’ve been honored to be recognized by our members and by the financial industry:

    • Tech CU was named to the Forbes 2021 List of Best-in-State Credit Unions;
    • Tech CU has been ranked among the top 20 best-performing credit unions in the U. S. by S & P Market Intelligence for 4 years.

    We believe this is the right moment to take steps to better reflect who we are today: a member-focused organization with a unique membership, a wide array of product and service offerings, and strong market recognition. That is why we’ve chosen to refresh our logo now. It’s not a revolutionary change, but a powerful one nonetheless. With this forward movement, we shine a light on the essence of who we are:

    • What was once an aperture, is now a lens, reinforcing our focus on meeting our members’ needs;
    • From two colors, we now have four (4), representing our membership and the full breadth of innovative products with which we serve them.

    What to Expect

    Over the next several months, the refreshed logo will appear in communications and at our branches. In some cases, the old and the new will appear in tandem and we ask for your patience as we maneuver through this roll-out in admittedly challenging times. We hope you will agree that the steps we take now and in the coming months will serve to not only update our appearance but also to better reflect the heart of Tech CU.

    As we move forward, we know many exciting developments lie ahead. Yet, please rest assured, we’ll always remain a member-driven organization dedicated to being efficient, transparent, trustworthy, and accessible for you, our members.
