Those who want to give can donate at any of Tech CU’s 10 Financial Centers in the Bay Area.
San Jose, CA (October 5, 2009) — Southeast Asia and the South Pacific have been hit by back–to–back disasters last week that have destroyed hundreds of communities in that part of the world, and many Bay Area families are worried about the safety of their friends and family back home.
Many of Tech CU’s employees and members have friends and families affected by these disasters and are in desperate need of help. This is why the Credit Union is spearheading a donations drive with its employees and members, with donations being accepted at any of the credit union’s 10 Financial Centers. Tech CU will match all donated funds up to $5,000 with the hope of raising $10,000 to give to the Red Cross. This relief effort continues through Saturday, October 17.
For locations, visit Tech CU’s web site (www.techcu.com) and click on “About Us” and “Locations.”
Tech CU will track all the donations made through the credit union’s Financial Centers, match the funds, and send all the donations to the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
The American Red Cross International Response Fund provides immediate relief and long-term support to those in need by giving supplies, technical assistance and other support.
