Financial Center Representative - Teller Part-Time

Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri - 9:15-6:15 & Saturdays 9:30-2:30Position Summary:
Under supervision, the Financial Center Representative I/II, provides quality member services, cash and transaction management, and cross sell/refers Technology Credit Union's services and products. The Financial Center Representative will work with the Assistant Financial Center Manager to promote Technology Credit Union image and philosophy.
Responsibilities:
Accountability: Handles Member Service
Gives prompt attention. Greets members with a smile and establishes eye contact. Stands to greet member. Expresses desire to help.
Maintains occasional eye contact. Speaks in a friendly tone of voice. Requests and uses member's name.
Provides accurate service. Properly responds to member questions. Asks if there are any other transactions. Thanks the member. Adheres to established operating procedures at all times. Effectively and clearly presents information using appropriate voice inflection, grammar and vocabulary.
Modifies behavior and approach in dealing with different situations and different persons. Reacts positively and helpfully to complaints. Accepts responsibility for complaint/ problem resolution.
Accountability: Executes Member Transactions
Accepts deposits and withdrawals to member deposit accounts and payments for loans, ensuring quality/accurate transactions in a timely and responsive manner. Sells travelers cheques, cashiers checks, money orders, and Credit Union corporate checks to members requiring these services. Prepares wire transfers, and cable transfers, as required. Balances branch/drawer cash daily and assists with night depository or quick drop box.
Accountability: Recognizes and Follows Through on Referral Opportunities
Meets a mutually established quality referral goal of___ per month. Uses brief, simple questions to qualify need. Demonstrates knowledge of all our products and services and refer Mortgage, Home Equity Lines of Credit, and Investment Services opportunities to appropriate staff. Cash incentives are earned for successfully cross-selling other products and services!
Follows through with the Financial Center Consultant to determine the outcome of the referral.
Accountability: Personal Development
Establishes with Assistant Financial Center Manager personal goals for improving service and sales referral behaviors. Develops with Assistant Financial Center Manager an action plan designed to facilitate the achievement of operational and sales referral goals identified through the quarterly Gap Analysis process. Accepts additional responsibilities, as requested by Assistant Financial Center Manager, according to the specific needs of the branch.
Participates in the credit union's professional training programs to refine skills and knowledge. Participates in government, civic, credit union league and/or volunteer organizations and activities.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma. Courses in related business areas and some college are considered a plus.
Minimum 1 year experience with financial institutions, or minimum of 1 year of cash handling/customer service experience.
Strong organization, verbal communication skills, quality service and team orientation required. Awareness of financial products and applications; rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Basic PC skills are desired.
Salary Range:
$13.95 - $16.00 per hour
