Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Manager's primary responsibility is to assist with the monthly financial statement process, review of general ledger accounting, and prepare governmental reporting and applicable tax reporting. This incumbent will manage the Accounts Payable and fixed asset duties along with other accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent's responsibilities also include overseeing the department's adherence with General Accepted Accounting Principles and California Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) directives and assisting the organization with risk mitigation. Other responsibilities include assisting in process improvement projects and the design and development of new systems, as well as assisting in product profitability and business unit profitability analysis. Manages several accounting staff.

Qualifications:

BS/BA Degree in accounting and 3+ years accounting management experience in a financial institution is required. Demonstrated proficiency in accounting systems. Expert level with M.S. Excel preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications a must. A working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
