As we approach our Founders Day—May 27, 2010—we’re looking back at the past 50 years and reflecting in awe on all the changes we’ve seen here in the Silicon Valley—and the world—and taking immense pride in how far we’ve come. From the way banking has changed, to the Silicon Valley and Bay Area’s explosive growth, to the technologies that have supercharged how we communicate and do business, the last 50 years have been an amazing ride! And we can’t wait to see what the next 50 brings. The best part is, we’ve shared these last 50 years with you, our members.
So take us down your Memory Lane.
Tell us your Tech CU story and, if we feature it as part of our Anniversary festivities, you’ll receive $200.* Answer a few of these questions, for example:
- When did you join Tech CU?
- What made you become a member?
- Where were you in your life when you joined Tech CU? Were you starting your first job? Getting married? Buying your first home?
- What was happening in the world then? Who was president? How was the economy?
- How did you manage your finances before there were ATMs, and services such as mobile and online banking?
- What do you like best about being a Tech CU member?

*You must be a current member of Tech CU to qualify. Story must be a minimum of 250 words. $200 will be deposited into either a Tech CU checking or savings account. Stories must be received by March 31, 2010 to be considered. If your story is selected, you will be notified within 2 business days. Written permission to feature your story and your name in Tech CU marketing materials must be received prior to receiving $200.
