Community Involvement

Survival Sacks Donation Drive for Sacred Heart Community Service
May 11–22

Survival Sacks aim to provide the homeless with basic needs such as a first-aid kit, hygiene items, and a change of underwear. Sacred Heart Community Service distributes 60 Survival Sacks on the 1st and 15th of every month. Sacred Heart Community Service relies heavily on community donations to fulfill the consistent need for Survival Sacks. To help fulfill this need, Technology Credit Union employees and members collected 65 sacks! That’s a total of over 1,500 items totaling $1,600 in donations from members and Tech CU! Once the Survival Sacks were assembled, Tech CU employees delivered and distributed them to Sacred Heart Community Service clients on the morning of June 1, 2009.
