Tech CU Volunteers Give Over 100 hours to Family Giving Tree & Bill Wilson Center
December 21

On Sunday, December 21, Tech CU members and employees along with their families volunteered at the Family Giving Tree and Bill Wilson center. We sorted, cut, taped, wrapped and checked all the wish lists twice to ensure thousands of children would have presents this year.

In addition a mighty team of 7 managers competed in Family Giving Tree’s Executive Elves Challenge on Friday, December 19. Along with NBC 11, Cisco, NetApp, Wells Fargo and many more, our team competed in a gift wrapping contest, gingerbread house contest, and tricycle races! All contests were to support the Family Giving Tree in meeting their 2008 gift giving goal.

With these 2 events that’s a total of 125 hours of time we dedicated to our community! Thank you to everyone who contributed their personal time to volunteering this holiday season!

Family Giving Tree Donation Drive

Shred Day

Members came to dispose of financial statements, canceled checks, credit cards, unused convenience checks, tax information, compact discs, and floppy disks. Tech CU takes identity theft very seriously, and Shred Day is just one way we help give our members peace of mind, knowing their personal information is disposed of safely and won’t get into the wrong hands.
