ABA/Routing Number for Electronic Transfers & Direct Deposit
To set up electronic transfers (including direct deposit) either to or from your Tech CU checking or savings account, or to order checks from a company other than Tech CU, please provide the merchant , payroll department or check printing company with the following:
- The share account code or loan account code: 1 for share accounts, 2 for loans.
- The two-digit account ID
- Your membership number preceded by zeros (resulting in a 13-digit number).
The format is as follows: XYYZZZZZZZZZZ where X = 1 for Share, 2 for Loan, Y = Share/Loan ID, Z = 10-digit member number preceded by zeros.
EXAMPLE: If you want to have checks printed to access your Tech CU Checking account (a checking account), and two-digit checking account ID is 11, and your membership number is 999999, write:
1110000999999
Wire Transfer Information
See below for details on the information you will be required to provide to set up a wire transfer.
Domestic Wire Transfers—To Tech CU*
To RECEIVE funds to your Tech CU account from another financial institution within the U.S. you will need to supply the initiating institution with the following information:
- Technology Credit Union's Address: PO Box 1409 San Jose, CA 95109
- Technology Credit Union's Transit Routing Number (ABA #): 121181976
- Your account/member number (please see format above for proper 13-digit number format)
Domestic Wire Transfers—From Tech CU*
SEND** funds online from your Tech CU account to be deposited to another institution within the U.S.!
Simply log into your Online Banking account, select "Transfers" in the menu, and then click the "Wire Transfer" link. To complete the transaction, you will need to supply Tech CU with the following information:
- The Name of the Receiving Institution
- The Address of the Receiving Institution
- The Beneficiary's Account Number
- The Name of the Beneficiary
- The Routing Transit or ABA Number assigned to the receiving institution
- A Valid Picture I.D
- Any Additional Information Needed to Successfully Complete the Transaction
International Wire Transfers—To Tech CU*
To RECEIVE funds to your Tech CU account from another financial institution outside the U.S., you will need to supply the initiating institution with the following information:
- Originating Bank: Please wire funds directly to their correspondent bank in the United States.
- Beneficiary Bank: Technology Credit Union, San Jose, CA
ABA Routing/Transit number: 121181976
- Final Credit: Your name and account/member number (please see format above for proper 13-digit number format)
International Wire Transfers—From Tech CU*
SEND** funds online from your Tech CU account to be deposited to another institution outside the U.S.!
Simply log into your Online Banking account, select "Transfers" in the menu, and then click the "Wire Transfer" link. To complete the transaction, you will need to supply Tech CU with the following information:
- The Name of the Receiving Institution
- The Address of the Receiving Institution
- The Beneficiary's Account Number
- The Name of the Beneficiary
- The SWIFT Number assigned to the receiving institution (if available)
- U.S. Intermediary Bank Information (if applicable)
- A Valid Picture I.D.
- Any Additional Information Needed to Successfully Complete the Transaction
Wires submitted via Online Banking can be tracked and even duplicated for future use.

**If a Wire Transfer is requested online by 12:00 p.m. PST it will process the same day, provided that all information is verified in a timely manner. If a Wire Transfer is requested after 12:00 p.m PST it will process the following business day. You may visit any of our financial centers to place a same day wire transfer before 1 p.m. PST.
